Woo! I understand what you mean about being conscious of your over-indulgence. I think I mentioned it to you, but once I got past Lindsay's wedding last year I was just so tired of caring about what I ate and how much so I just let it go for a while... and here I am trying to figure out how to eat like a normal person again ;)

One word of caution, though you have a darker skin-tone than I so it shouldn't be an issue: don't eat too many carrots. they turn you orange. Seriously!

Hope the burn is feeling betta. I have a great chicken recipe I got from eating well magazine and I made excellent pork chops just last night (cooking light) and they were both really easy marinades. If you're feeling really lazy, just marinate some chicken in italian dressing for an hour or two. DELICIOUS.

I did the running-under-water thing immediately, actually, and you're right; it definitely eased the pain. After 15 minutes, I tried to pull my hand out from under the fountain and the pain was still excruciating. Weird how that works.

Ah well. Now I know, right?

Ouch! Honey/balsamic glaze sounds like it's pretty much the same as a sugar burn...and those are REALLY REALLY BAD. They stick to your skin and keep burning.

FYI for kitchen burns in the future- immediately get it under cool running water for a few minutes. When stuff gets on you like that, it will keep burning (= more damage) if you just try and wipe it off or whatever.

I read this a few days ago when researching lollipop making:

Also: YAY weight watchers!
