Today, when asked to comment on my motivations for cancelling my MySpace account, I suddenly found myself awash in an unnecessary mocking mindset. My response can attest to that:

“Oh, come on. You guys all know that your glory days are over, that your moments as the world’s most popular ’social networking site’ are drawing to a close. This is evidenced by the skeezy, overzealously decorated profiles of those still-enthusiastic MySpacers who are still seeing how many friends they can acquire and taking multiple pictures of themselves from a bird’s eye view. I feel like my saying this is really just insulting all of our respective intelligences.”

Wow. I guess I just liked kicking an anonymous entity while it was down for a minute.
