Isn’t it strange how, when you’re dating someone that person’s opinion of your qualities and traits is creed and then when you get married to them they somehow don’t hold as much weight?

Example: The first time my husband called me “beautiful”, I acted like a giddy idiot for the next week. Now when he does it, I shrug it off and/or argue with him about how his statement is, in fact, blatantly false.

Again, hunh…
